A carteira : uma nova estrela

Abstract

A união de marcas de moda “fetiche”, em alguns grupos económicos, como por exemplo, o grupo LVHM, o grupo PPR e o grupo Richmond é um facto novo no universo da moda e do luxo que data dos anos oitenta, e que se continua a expandir pelos anos noventa até aos dias de hoje. Comprar, vender, fundir, centralizar e descontinuar, parece que é a regra deste mercado com características muito particulares. Se no passado as marcas de luxo estavam centralizadas nas famílias, ou seja, era um legado que passava de geração em geração, cujos produtos continuavam a ser fabricados através de técnicas artesanais hoje, pouco ou nada funciona nesses moldes. Os negócios de moda passaram a ser demasiadamente sérios para serem deixados nas mãos dos costureiros. Ainda nos anos noventa assistiu-se à era dos acessórios particularmente das carteiras que passou a povoar o imaginário coletivo. As carteiras enquanto vedetas das marcas representam poder económico, tradição, luxo, bom gosto, em síntese, status. Na difusão das marcas, os grupos económicos passaram a olhar para as estrelas como um porto seguro em matéria de difusão das mesmas. Nunca como hoje a ligação a estas estrelas de estilo foi tão ostensiva.
