Utilização de nanopartículas no desenvolvimento de betões de elevado desempenho

Abstract

Os betões de elevado desempenho apresentam vantagens ambientais óbvias comparativamente aos betões correntes, é por isso pouco normal que ao nível do mercado de betão pronto, respeitante aos 25 países membros e associados da European Ready Mixed Concrete-ERMCO, somente uns ínfimos 11% respeitem aquele segmento em particular. E o facto de essa quota permanecer inalterada nos últimos dez anos só contribui para tornar a situação ainda mais paradoxal, já que os betões de elevado desempenho possibilitam a execução de estruturas com menor consumo de aço, menor consumo de betão e permitem a sua colocação em serviço em prazos mais curtos. Têm ainda a vantagem adicional de ter uma vida útil superior e logo um menor impacto ambiental.
