Abstract

A preocupação ambiental é hoje uma das grandes questões e desafios do design no século XXI. Em detrimento disso, os profissionais de design possuem maiores desafios para alcançarem os requisitos de concepção de produtos industriais, tendo sempre em mente os fatores de sustentabilidade ao longo de todo o ciclo de vida dos produtos. Nesse pensamento, esse artigo consiste na apresentaçao de alguns resultados de pesquisa de Doutorado em Design realizado na Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal) cujo assunto é a criação e o desenvolvimento de design de superfícies têxteis através da técnica da colagem têxtil, numa ótica de desenvolvimento sustentado.
