Abstract

O presente artigo analisa o desempenho dos materiais compósitos contendo fibras vegetais. Nele são abordadas as propriedades e a durabilidade das fibras e quais os tratamentos que potenciam o seu desempenho. É ainda analisada a compatibilidade entre o cimento e as fibras vegetais e de que forma estas influenciam algumas propriedades da matriz cimenticia, como seja o tempo de presa ou as características da zona da interface entre estes dois materiais.
