O presente artigo aborda o desenvolvimento de uma nova família de materiais ligantes, obtidos a partir da activação de alumino-silicatos, que se caracterizam por uma elevada durabilidade e menores emissões de dióxido de carbono que o cimento Portland, constituindo-se como um sério contributo para uma construção mais sustentável.
