Abstract

Brecht assegna al teatro epico un compito rigorosamente filosofico. Il metodo dello straniamento è infatti un dispositivo che vuole produrre una forma collettiva di veggenza. In modo fedele al dettato platonico, l'ambizione brechtiana è costruire sulla scena un terzo occhio artificiale capace di attingere il “reale” che scorre impercepito al di sotto del “mondo”. Il dispositivo teatrale brechtiano perfeziona e integra i due altri dispositivi che nella modernità sono stati montati per rendere possibile un realismo “perturbante”: il dispositivo prospettico e il dispositivo fotografico.
