Kierkegaard’da özgürlük ve maneviyat ilişkisi

Abstract

This thesis aims to deeply examine the existential situation of the individual and the spiritual dimensions of this situation by addressing the concepts of freedom and spirituality of Søren Kierkegaard, one of the important figures of modern philosophy. Kierkegaard's philosophy is closely related to the individual's process of making sense of his own existence, and this process is intertwined with the individual's spiritual journey. In this context, freedom does not only mean freedom from external limitations, but also includes the individual's confrontation with his inner conflicts and spiritual inquiries. The thesis examines how Kierkegaard bases his concept of freedom on his spiritual experience and belief structure. According to Kierkegaard, freedom gains its highest meaning in the context of the individual's relationship with God. This relationship requires the individual to reach an authentic state of faith and surrender through experiences of existential anxiety and despair. In this process, the spiritual dimensions of freedom and the individual's spiritual journey are shaped by existential conflicts and crises. Therefore, the ultimate meaning of freedom is directly related to the individual's submission to God.
