I vuoti urbani hanno delle proprietà sociali intrinseche, sono diventati emblema di vicissitudini storico-ambientali, posseggono una memoria storica che li connota. Il caso proposto riguarda il quartiere Alessandrino, demolito negli anni '30, e la realizzazione del modello tridimensionale virtuale.
