In recent years warming in the Arctic region has been twice as fast as the world average, making a significant contribution to climate change and becoming the global climate regulator, including European climate models. This is done through the progressive release of methane gas into the air due to heating. Therefore, an integrated EU strategy for the Arctic region has been defined to ensure effective cooperation with international institutions for the implementation of joint management of the Arctic region.
