Since the difficulty of the topic and the variety of the scientific works circulating in the XIII century, a complete list of the sources known and used by Fibonacci still lacks. The aim of this paper is to provide a preliminary list of the principal authors Fibonacci was acquainted with, in order to create a satisfying overview on his cultural background.
