Abstract

Nel corso del XV secolo, la progressiva espansione turca nei Balcani meridionali e nel Mediterraneo orientale rappresentò una crescente minaccia per le potenze presenti in quell’area. L’Italia fu ovviamente fortemente coinvolta. Questo lavoro analizza il ruolo di Alfonso il Magnanimo e del Regno di Napoli in questo contesto attraverso i riferimenti bibliografici più aggiornati, tentando di offrire alcuni nuovi spunti di riflessione.
