Verso una nuova teleologia dello sviluppo

Abstract

Laudate Deum, l’esortazione apostolica di Papa Francesco sulla crisi climatica, è intimamente connessa alla Laudato si’ del 2015, l’enciclica dedicata alla cura della casa comune e alla tutela del creato. L’esortazione, pur se in continuità con quest’ultima – come si rileva dal costante richiamo a quanto riportato nell’enciclica – se ne discosta profondamente, come si evince fin già dal sottotitolo, che fa riferimento ai destinatari dell’esortazione. Il Papa, infatti, si rivolge “a tutte le persone di buone volontà” e non perché intende sottolineare la portata ecumenica del suo messaggio – che pure ne costituisce una nota caratterizzante – ma perché si rivolge alla singola persona, credente o non credente. Per il Pontefice, è chiaro che, se si vuole determinare un cambiamento radicale nei comportamenti dei governi, dalla scala globale a quella locale, occorre il coinvolgimento di ogni singolo individuo, affinché modifichi i propri comportamenti, ridefinisca le proprie priorità e, soprattutto, eserciti un’efficace pressione sui decisori politici.
