Abstract

Il personaggio mitico di Arianna è molto presente nell'opera di Nietzsche e su di esso si è scritto molto, interpretandolo in vari modi. In questo articolo si cerca di rintracciarne i tratti nella figura di Lou von Salomé, la giovane donna russa che diede a Nietzsche un breve periodo di intense emozioni e che egli aveva prefigurato come la possibile erede delle sue ortodossie filosofiche. Il dolore causato dal fallimento della loro relazione, sia personale che intellettuale, è sublimato - per ammissione dello stesso Nietzsche - in Così parlò Zarathustra, dove Arianna fa la sua comparsa implicita in diversi punti. Quando appare esplicitamente, Arianna sembra non essere all'altezza dello sposo divino, Dioniso; allo stesso modo, Lou Salomè non è stata all'altezza del filosofo Nietzsche e della sua dottrina dell'eterno ritorno.
