Abstract

La voce offre un breve profilo della produzione libraria e miniata collegabile al monastero di S. Emmeram e alla sede episcopale di Ratisbona. L'abbazia, fondata in età carolingia, conosce il suo periodo di massima attività in età ottoniana. A questa fase appartengono i manoscritti di qualità più alta propri dell'officina grafica, molto influenzati dalla presenza di un prestigioso manufatto librario carolingio.Gli ornati grafici di questo modello - il Codex Aureus di S. Emmeram -sembrano improntare a lungo lo stile della scuola.
