Abstract

L'oreficeria e i manufatti di ornamento rivestono un'importanza particolare nell'analisi delle società del passato: sono infatti strumento di espressione sociale. Il filo conduttore del volume è rappresentato dall'oreficeria di epoca romana, tardoantica e medievale proveniente da contesti dell'area orientale dell'Emilia Romagna: l'analisi complementare delle tecniche e della tipologia dei manufatti consente di evidenziare l'importanza di questi materiali nello studio della società e dello specifico ambito territoriale.
