Abstract

Attualmente non ha più senso la dicotomia fra la scuola funzionalista e quella tradizionale e storicista: il metodo di studio della lessicografi a è sostanzialmente unitario. Esso non può ignorare tutte le notevoli acquisizioni sui meccanismi dell’esegesi antica enucleati a partire dalle ricerche di Benedetto Marzullo. Se alcune tra le sue idee non hanno avuto seguito, non si può altresì dimenticare l’importanza che il suo approccio ha avuto in questo campo e l’impulso che le sue demistifi catorie idee hanno dato a tali studi. In fondo il suo pensiero, le sue intuizioni, i suoi studi hanno rappresentato un salutare colpo di sferza, che nessuno in seguito ha potuto ignorare.
