Abstract

Nel volume, dedicato a importanti monumenti antichi di Ravenna sui quali si intervenne nel Rinascimento, l'autore presenta nuove considerazioni, del tutto innovative e inedite, sulla porta eretta da Claudio nel 42 d.C. e sul rilievo celebrativo dell'apoteosi di Augusto e della famiglia imperiale. Per quest'ultimo si propone una nuova appartenenza a un monumento di età claudia, probabilmente un'aula del culto imperiale..
