Se messo a confronto con l'evoluzione del tempo storico, l'intreccio tra filantropia e letteratura ha un duplice valore: di rappresentazione critica rispetto alla condizione della società civile delle epoche in cui sono ambientati i racconti e le ricostruzioni storico-letterarie, ma anche di valorizzazione delle forme di esercizio del pensiero critico rispetto al nostro presente filantropico
