Abstract

L'opera di cui si oifre l'edizione, preceduta da una breve biografia del suo autore, e l'unica fatica poetica nota di Mathías De Litala y Sanna, figlio di José Delitala y Castelví. Pubblicata a Cagliari nel 1670, di essa é giunta fino a noi una sola copia, con ex libri, della Biblioteca del Marchese di Astorga. Venne scritta per celebrare la nascita della figlia del Principe di Piombino, Giovanni Battista Ludovisi, e della nobildonna María Antíoga Alagón y Pimentel, e si iscrive nelle manifestazioni festive attraverso le quali il ceto nobiliare sardo si autorappresentava dinanzi al Viceré e aIla socieca isolana.
