Consumo, trasformazione e rigenerazione del suolo nella prospettiva del metabolismo urbano

Abstract

Nella ricerca PRIN Postmetropoli, l’analisi riferita al suolo, alla sua trasformazione, al suo consumo, o in una accezione più ampia riferita al concetto di “antropizzazione” anziché di “urbanizzazione”, viene riferita ad una osservazione che racconta il “fenomeno urbano” anche quando descrive i rapporti di relazione tra sistemi antropici, sistemi rurali o sistemi naturali; assumendo un “superamento” delle dicotomie tra suolo urbano e rurale o naturale, in cui anche la più recente interpretazione di “periurbano” può definirsi ormai superata. Ciò risulta particolarmente pertinente con riferimento allo studio dei comportamenti metabolici e alle relative misure di rigenerazione delle risorse in gioco nella prospettiva di migliorare la sostenibilità ambientale delle diverse realtà urbane postmetropolitane. La definizione di “pattern”, di “tipologie d’uso” e la loro lettura nel processo di mutamento e trasformazione del suolo aiuta a raccontare le modalità all’interno delle quali le recenti dinamiche urbane si stanno articolando, anche rispetto ai profili “metabolici” che tali trasformazioni pongono in essere.
