Abstract

Il capitolo presenta l’evoluzione del sistema polacco di governo del territorio dalla caduta del blocco sovietico e il suo attuale funzionamento. Sono trattate le caratteristiche strutturali del sistema, l’evoluzione degli strumenti di pianificazione spaziale, gli orientamenti del discorso politico e tecnico e le pratiche di ordinamento spaziale e di controllo delle trasformazioni. Nonostante i tentativi di garantire l’integrazione verticale e orizzontale del sistema, esso rimane caratterizzato da una forte settorialità e da un ampio divario fra le attività di natura strategica e programmatica messe in atto a livello nazionale e regionale sotto l’influenza europea e le pratiche di pianificazione locale, dominate dalle forze di mercato e dagli interessi privati.
