Il saggio studia i quarantuno manoscritti in scrittura beneventana custoditi nella Biblioteca Capitolare di Benevento, databili dal IX al XII secolo, che paradossalmente risultano pressoché inediti per la storia dell’arte, proponendo nuove datazioni e confronti con altri esemplari della produzione miniaturistica italomeridionale, soprattutto cassinese.
