Platone e la Querelle des femmes

Abstract

Perché nella culla della cultura occidentale patriarcale, durante l’età classica greca, si costituisce il preludio alla “querelle des femmes"? Ripercorrendo le idee platoniche (Repubblica, Libro V) si evidenzia come la polis ideale sia stata in grado di assicurare un futuro alla parità sessuale. Dall’antichità ad oggi “voci” maschili e femminili hanno interagito in diversi modi fra loro cercando di infrangere i meccanismi di trasmissione dei valori androcratici e gerarchici. Platone è un ottimo punto di partenza per riprendere il dialogo con un pensatore del passato che ha tentato per primo, con un modello educativo egualitario, di aggirare l’opposizione binaria uomo/donna.
