Distinguo dapprima tra realismo empirico, metafisico, ontologico, epistemico e semantico, e tra diverse forme di realismo e antirealismo scientifico. Sostengo poi che sebbene il realismo scientifico non implichi quello metafisico, i migliori argomenti per il primo valgono anche per il secondo. I distinguish among empirical, metaphysical, ontological, epistemic, and semantic realism, and among various forms of scientific realism and antirealism. I then argue that although scientific realism does not imply metaphysical realism, the best arguments for the former support also the latter.
