Autismo e interpretazione dell’allarme: il sistema di comunicazione

Abstract

L’O.M.S., inunrapportodel2010,definisce le persone con disabilità mentale, uno dei gruppi più vulnerabili al mondo e richiama governi e società civile ad attuare strategie per migliorare le loro condizioni di sicurezza e la qualità di vita. Lo studio analizza la patologia dell’autismo e delinea un percorso metodologico che, dall’identificazione dei profili di esigenze, intese come caratteristiche cognitive, comportamentali, ma anche come aspettative, attitudini e desideri, indirizzi i progettisti nella scelta dei sistemi di comunicazione dell’allarme. Tale studio motivato dai complessi problemi sensoriali, tipici dei disturbi dello spettro autistico, fa emergere come le soluzioni tecnologiche,maturate in fase progettuale, attivino un circolo virtuoso che stimola le capacità residue delle persone autistiche attraverso forme di comunicazione il più possibile appropriate, che possono diventare un’ulteriore risorsa per tutti.
