Il volume affronta lo studio delle strade colonnate nelle città della Cilicia romana, affrontando il tema dal punto di vista urbanistico e architettonico. Le vie colonnate, nate in Siria agli inzi del I sec. d.C., costituiscono una caratteristica tipica del paesaggio urbano dell'impero romano orientale e racchiudono in sé le valenze di utilitas e decor.
