Il saggio amplia la relazione tenuta da Paola Italia nella sessione plenaria del XIII Congresso dell'ADI (Associazione degli Italianisti) tenuto a Pugnochiuso (FG) nel 17-19 settembre 2009. In questo studio Paola Italia approfondisce la formazione del libro delle Canzoni all'interno della dinamica Centro/Periferia e ipotizza l'esistenza di tre forme del testo sulla base degli epistolari, ma anche delle osservazioni filologiche sui manoscritti delle Canzoni e delle Annotazioni pubblicati a Bologna nel 1824.
The essay was read at the plenary session of the XIII Congress of the ADI (Association of Italianists). Paola Italia deepens the growing of Leopardi's Book of Canzoni (1824), and assumes the existence of three forms of the text, based on letters, but also on the study of philological notes on Leopardi's manuscripts.
