Abstract

analysis of the manuscript tradition of some groups (also numerically significant and of complex articulation) of troubadour lyrics, variously linked to the Provence of the 13th century, during the rule of Raimon Berenguer V and Charles of Anjou; it is possible to put in evidence and to stress the relevance of some structural aspects of the manuscript tradition of Provencal lyrics, in connection with the evolution of romance song in southern France and in Italy, and with the appearance of new forms of courtly song and music (dansa, balada, as well as the French virelai).
