The article presents the premises and goals of the “Make it explicit (MITE)” project, which aims to document interpretations put forward by literary critics through conceptual models meant to formally represent their argumentation. In particular, I discuss the case study of Griselda, a complex character from Boccaccio’s Decameron, often attributed a paradigmatic status oscillating between misogynistic and philogynistic interpretations.
