Dal realismo morale al realismo digitale: Iris Murdoch 3.0

Abstract

Oggetto della ricerca è il pensiero di Iris Murdoch, indagato nella sua accezione etica e reinterpretato alla luce dei suoi testi letterari, con particolare riferimento all’etica dei personaggi e al “vocabolario morale” utilizzato. L’attenzione alla vita ordinaria, inscritta entro uno “sfondo permanente”, rappresenta per Murdoch uno sforzo morale, da intendersi non come attività di scelta hic et nunc, ma come visione e comprensione pluralistica del reale, nonché come riconoscimento dell’incompletezza umana nella tensione al Bene, platonicamente inteso. A partire dalla lettura di una selezione dei suoi romanzi, la ricerca analizza i nodi principali della sua filosofia, con riferimento in particolare all’influenza di Wittgenstein, alla critica a Sartre e all’esistenzialismo. Si propone, inoltre, di riattualizzare il concetto di “realismo morale”, come inteso da Murdoch, nella prospettiva dell’etica del digitale e, più in generale, rileggere Murdoch nell’ambito delle Digital Humanities e dell’intelligenza artificiale, proponendo il concetto di “realismo digitale”. L’applicazione alla contemporaneità, oltre a consentire una rinnovata lettura della filosofia murdochiana, focalizza la connessione tra identità e intersoggettività virtuale, analizzandone limiti e possibilità, evidenzia contesti di vulnerabilità, aprendo a prospettive di cura che investono anche l’ambito educativo.
