Storia, forma, materia. Sulla poesia italiana del Rinascimento

Abstract

Gli studi si muovono su due piani distinti ma strettamente combinati. I primi quattro hanno proposto la verifica di quadri storiografici e critici assestati relativi a momenti significativi della tradizione poetica italiana, in particolare lirica (a Milano tra Tre e Quattrocento, e nel pieno Cinquecento petrarchista), nel tempo enfatizzati o distorti a dispetto delle risultanze effettive. Il rinnovamento delle cornici storiche ha suggerito analisi puntuali dei testi secondo diversi paradigmi, e i saggi della seconda parte dedicano così alla tradizione poetica rinascimentale, considerata in alcuni dei suoi massimi rappresentanti, uno sguardo ravvicinato, particolarmente attento al rapporto tra forme e strutture tematiche dei testi. La riflessione su forma e materia spinge a ripensare il nostro atteggiamento nei confronti della lirica del Cinquecento, in vista di un recupero delle sue inflessioni individuali, spesso effetto di una consapevole proiezione autobiografica, e delle scelte tematiche, contro la semplificazione che l’ha lungamente confinata nel limbo di una meccanica imitazione petrarchesca o di un puro esercizio stilistico. Nel volume si analizzano testi di Leon Battista Alberti, Iacobo Sannazaro, Gaspare Ambrogio Visconti, Pietro Bembo, Anton Francesco Rainerio.
