The revision of six funerary inscriptions and a group of fragments belonging to an imperial monument, already published in CIL, VI, led some young scholars to a few small but significant acquisitions. The new readings, discoveries and interpretations here published were obtained during the preliminary works for the digitization of these texts for EDR (Epigraphic Database Roma: www.edr-edr.it), and show how important this project is not only as a research tool, but also in view of a process of “permanent education”
