Abstract

Il saggio ripercorre la biografia del pittore veneziano Carlo Crivelli (m. ca. 1495) nei diversi centri di attività: dal Veneto alla Dalmazia alle odierne Marche, nell'Italia Centrale. Al contempo, si interroga sulla ricezione della sua opera e sulla vicenda storiografica dal Seicento ad oggi. This essay reconstructs the biography of the painter Carlo Crivelli (d. ca. 1495) in the Veneto region, in Dalmatia and in the Marche, in Central Italy. It also examines the reception of his work and its historiography from the seventeenth century to the present.
