Dal Movimiento alla Movida. Il romanzo spagnolo dal franchismo a oggi (1939-2011)

Abstract

L'immobilismo culturale e sociale del primo franchismo, la crescita economica degli anni Sessanta, le speranze e il desencanto della Transizione democratica, il nuovo millennio. Fasi della recente storia spagnola che un romanzo dalla robusta vocazione civile e testimoniale ha puntigliosamente rappresentato e restituito. Rinverdendo, nell'insieme, una nobilissima tradizione. Il volume passerà in minuta rassegna le voci - critiche e integrate - degli esordi del franchismo (con il vertice riconosciuto del Nobel Camilo José Cela); le avvisaglie dello sperimentalismo (con Tiempo de silencio di Luis Martín-Santo, soprattutto); la matura stagione dei "cronisti" che scandiscono il viaggio della Penisola verso l'Europa e gli approdi democratici (da Miguel Delibes a Juan Marsé, da Eduardo Mendoza a Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, tra gli altri) e le ultime generazioni (Arturo Pérez Reverte, Javier Marías, Lucía Etxebarría, Almudena Grandes e i più recenti Carlos Ruiz Zafón e Ildefonso Falcones) che, nell'estrema varietà di temi e motivi, hanno lasciato un'impronta inconfondibile sulla scena letteraria contemporanea. L'autore intende gettare uno sguardo d'insieme sull'evoluzione del romanzo spagnolo degli ultimi settant'anni allo scopo di ordinarne il cammino e di gettare un fascio di luce sulle numerose zone d'ombra che ancora oggi, in un momento di varie e assortite "prosperità", lo accompagnano.
