Abstract

Il volume prende il nome e l’ispirazione dal commento storico-analitico che Carlo Alicandri-Ciufelli fa di un grimorio del 1873, che è parte dell’archivio della sua famiglia e che proviene da Frattura di Scanno (AQ). L’interesse di Carlo Alicandri-Ciufelli per questo grimorio si deve ad un suo interesse ampio per la medicina popolare e per i complessi e ciclici rapporti che essa intrattiene con la biomedicina, o scienza medica ufficiale. Dunque, il grimorio del 1873 rappresenta solo l’incipit del lavoro, che si estende fino a diventare un discorso ampio sulla medicina del passato e del presente, del ceto egemone e del ceto subalterno; un discorso fondato su ricerche d’archivio e sulla sua esperienza di medico appassionato di critica culturale e interdisciplinare.
