Abstract

Descrizione del viaggio "interno" a quello transoceanico verso il Nuovo Continente, nel passaggio da New York a Cuba, della Grande Tragica Italiana Adelaide Ristori. L'attrice, insieme alla sua Compagnia Drammatica Italiana, nel 1868, recitò per tre mesi in diverse città cubane, avendo base all'Avana e ricevendo plausi ed enorme gradimento per il repertorio di matrice italiana ed europea che seppe ben rappresentare, ottenendo anche le lusinghiere recensioni del periodista cubano Enrique Piñeyro. L'articolo riferisce nello specifico i dettagli del repertorio proposto a Cuba e la fortuna delle opere nelle differenti tappe artistiche all'interno dell'Isola.
