Abstract

L'articolo riporta e commenta alcuni documenti tratti dagli archivi del KGB della Bielorussia e consegnati recentemente al governo italiano. I documenti riguardano i cosiddetti IMI, i militari italiani stanziati nei Blacani durante la II guerra mondiale, che al momento dell'armistizo dell'8 settembre 1943 si arresero ai tedeschie e da questi furono per la gran parte internati nei lager del Reich. Alcuni di questi lager si trovavano appunto in Bielorussia, all'epoca occupata dalla Germania. Il materiale consiste in interviste, svolte dagli agenti del KGB tra il 1964 e il 1965 tra la popolazione bielorussa che all'peoca della II guerra mondiale abitava nelle zone vicine ai campi di prigionia. Gli agenti si informavano su chi fossero questi italiani nei lager e sul trattamento usato dai tedeschi nei loro confronti. La data delle interviste (metà anni Sessanta) si spiega con il fatto che in quegli anni furono rinvenuti negli archivi di Minsk documenti in tedesco su militari italaini caduti prigioneiri. I documenti sono molto importanti perché completano il quadro, già delineato dalla ricca memorialistica sul tema degli IMI, arricchendolo delle considerazioni e del punto di vista sovietico.
