Abstract

Analisi della figura di Erich von Stroheim nel contesto del cinema hollywoodiano del suo tempo. Indagine storica sul caso GREED con particolare attenzione alle varianti nella trasposizione dal romanzo al film e soprattutto alla complessa avventura filologica che riguarda la stesura della sceneggiatura. Nella seconda parte del volume, l'autore si concentra invece sulla messa in scena degli spazi e sull'analisi della direzione degli attori.
