This contribution tries to account for the following two questions: (i) why does the so-called 'Delay of Principle B Effect' (DPBE) show up in the acquisition of some languages?, and (ii) why do Romance children not show a DPBE (i.e. why do they not allow unadult-like coreference between co-arguments)?
