Fenomenologia empirica

Abstract

Come la fenomenologia eidetica, quella empirica ha come oggetto la vita della mente, poiché a interessarla sono i mondi di significato che gli esseri umani vivono in un dato tempo e in un preciso contesto naturale e culturale. Con la differenza che mentre la fenomenologia eidetica osserva la vita della mente per afferrare l’essenza generale degli atti mentali o cogitationes, la fenomenologia empirica è interessata a cogliere la pienezza dei vissuti, ognuno da considerare nella sua singolare unicità. Vale dunque il principio husserliano: “Noi manteniamo lo sguardo fermamente rivolto alla sfera della coscienza e cerchiamo di vedere cosa vi si trovi di immanente”, ma mentre la fenomenologia eidetica cerca “l’essenza della coscienza in generale”, la fenomenologia dell’esperienza cerca l’essenza concreta di ogni vissuto della mente e a partire da queste essenze singolari concrete costruisce la conoscenza di un insieme di fenomeni senza trascurare quelle qualità non inscrivibili in un concetto generale.
