Abstract

Bu makale Bilecik Müzesi’nin envanterinden seçilmiş bir grup sikkenin incelemelerini içermektedir. Çalışmanın amacı sikkelerin tarihlendirilmesi ve darp yerleri hakkında bilgi edinilmesidir. Bilecik Müzesi sikke koleksiyonunda 3830’un üzerinde sikke bulunmaktadır; ancak bu çalışmada Klasik ve Hellenistik dönemlere tarihlenen 92 adet kent sikkesi incelenmiştir. Makalede değerlendirilen sikkelerin 5’i gümüş, 87’si tunçtur ve Phrygia, Pontos, Paphlagonia, Mysia, Troas, Aiolis, Lydia, Ionia, Karia, Kilikia ve Korkyra’daki kentler adına darp edilmiştir.
