Music identity profiles

Abstract

The Music Identity Profile is a snapshot of influential listening experiences and musical encounters in time and space. The visual and sonic depiction of each music identity profile is unique. It invites creativity, it excites the imagination and deploys intellectual, artistic and technological capacities. The Music Identity Profiles Installation was commissioned by the Multicultural Education and Languages Committee to the South Australian Minister for Education and Child Development as part of a school-based project. It is an artistic representation of the individual and collective music identity profiles of two groups of students from Woodville High and Paralowie R-12 schools who participated in a series of Music Identity Profiles workshops facilitated by the curators and artist. Students created the various visual and sonic elements of their music identity profiles using pre-designed art forms and recording layouts. original creative work - other First Showing
