Desarrollo humano integral

Abstract

The concept of development is complex and its historical study allows us to recognize the different understandings that have been developed in the specialized literature since the 50s, moment of the beginning of its use, up to the present time. The article also reviews the pronouncement of the Church in relation to this category and the centrality it has acquired in its discourse since the Second Vatican Council. The analysis of their approaches allows to recognize the prophetic character of their proposals.
