La complejidad y ambivalencia de la compasión

Abstract

After describing the characteristics of compassion, the philosophical arguments used by some of its advocates are analyzed. We emphasize Schopenhauer and Unamuno, as well as Nietzsche´s criticism. Finally, we highlight the moral value of compassion from the perspective of the philosophy of the otherness.
