This paper discusses the conceptual design of a hybrid thin haul air taxi. It presents a design methodology for a distributed propulsive hybrid aircraft highlighting the differences in design procedures between conventional design and hybrid distributed propulsion design. In addition, it demonstrates the impact of both hybridization and distributed propulsion on the reduction of direct operating cost for operators. The aim of the design is to offer a better alternative aircraft to serve the emerging new market of scheduled thin haul aircrafts.
