Abstract

Individuals of Generation Z, who wake up to many changes with each new day, catch this speed and reveal that their biggest difference with other generations is a part of this change while making their career plans. Globalization and technological developments create radical differences in the career approaches of individuals and organizations. With the beginning of generation Z individuals to take their place in business life, changes are observed in business life such as flexibility, digitalization, competition and professionalization. When we look at the literature, it is seen that there are very few studies on the career approaches of Generation Z individuals. In this study, the career plan of Generation Z is emphasized, and the basic generations and Generation Z are explained conceptually. Current career approaches are examined by analyzing the demographic information of Generation Z individuals who continue their high school education. The survey data of 130 high school students born in 2005-2009 were analyzed and evaluated. As a result of the analysis, career expectation in terms of marriage-family, gender and mother's profession; in the religion-society dimension, it was revealed that gender differs according to the education level of the mother.

Her yeni günle birlikte birçok değişime uyanan Z Kuşağı bireyleri bu hızı yakalayarak diğer kuşaklarla en büyük farkının bu değişimin bir parçası olduğunu kariyer planı yaparken de ortaya koymaktadır. Küreselleşme ve teknolojik gelişmeler bireylerin ve örgütlerin kariyer yaklaşımlarında köklü farklılıklar meydana getirmektedir. Z kuşağı bireylerinin iş yaşamında yerini almaya başlamasıyla birlikte çalışma hayatında esneklik, dijitalleşme, rekabet, profesyonelleşme gibi konularda da değişiklikler gözlenmektedir. Literatüre bakıldığında Z Kuşağı bireylerinin kariyer yaklaşımları üzerine yapılmış çalışmaların çok az sayıda olduğu görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada Z Kuşağının kariyer planı üzerinde durulmakta, temel kuşaklar ve Z Kuşağı kavramsal olarak açıklanmaktadır. Lise eğitimi devam eden Z Kuşağı bireylerinin demografik bilgileri analiz edilerek güncel kariyer yaklaşımları incelenmektedir. “2005-2009” doğumlu 130 lise öğrencisinin anket verileri analiz edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda Kariyer beklentisinin evlilik-aile boyutunda, cinsiyet ve anne mesleğine; din-toplum boyutunda ise cinsiyet anne eğitim durumuna göre farklılık gösterdiğini ortaya koymuştur.
