Trabzon'un mahalle ve köylerinde yapılan derlemeler esas alınarak, belirtilen bölgenin ağız özellikleri ve söz varlığı tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmamızın `Giriş` kısmında Trabzon'un tarihî durumu, etnik durumu, coğrafî durumu ve idarî durumu ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. Birinci Bölüm -İnceleme-: Ses Bilgisini ve Şekil Bilgisini içermekledir. İkinci Bölüm -Metinler-: Burada Trabzon'un mahalle ve köylerinden derlenen ve yazıya aktardan metinler bulunmaktadır.
