Forthis, it will be investigated whether there is a statistically significantrelationship between the determined student and family characteristics relatedto religious subjects. For this purpose, a questionnaire called "TheImpact of Parents in the Religious Education of the Child: DiyarbakırExample" was prepared and applied to the third grade students of eightprimary schools in four central districts of Diyarbakir.According to the results obtained, it has beendetermined that as the frequency of reading the prayers after the mealsincreases in the students' houses, the frequency of asking their parents aboutreligious matters is increased. Students who stated that they learned prayersand surahs from their mothers and their fathers, asked their mothers and theirfathers more frequently in religious matters. As the frequency with which themother and father informed the child increased, the level of children's abilityto read the Qur'an, the level of wanting to fast in the month of Ramadan, andthe frequency of reading prayers after eating at home increased. As the level ofreligious commitment of the mother and father increased, the level of thestudent's desire to fast also increased.
