Abstract

Psikolojik danışman adaylarına ilişkin yapılan çalışmalar, adayların eğitim ve mesleki gelişim süreçleri ile ilgili önem taşımaktadır. Bu doğrultuda yapılan araştırmanın amacı, Psikolojik Danışmanlık ve Rehberlik Lisans programında öğrenim gören 4.sınıf öğrencilerinin bilişsel esneklikleri ve psikolojik danışma öz-yeterlik algıları arasındaki ilişkide sürekli kaygının aracı rolünü incelemektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini 6 farklı üniversiteden Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık lisans 4.sınıf öğrencisi olan, 213'ü kadın (%73,4), 77'si (%26,6) erkek toplamda 290 psikolojik danışman adayı oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma gurubunu belirlemek için çok aşamalı örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmış olup örneklemi belirlemek amacı ile tabakalı-küme örnekleme yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu, "Bilişsel Esneklik Envanteri", "Süreksiz Durumluk-Sürekli Kaygı Envanteri" ve "Psikolojik Danışma Öz-Yeterlik Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada değişkenler arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesi amacı ile Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Analizi ve Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli Analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Yapısal eşitlik modellemesi analizi sonucunda, modelde yer alan tüm yolların anlamlı olduğu, bilişsel esneklik ve psikolojik danışma öz-yeterliği arasındaki ilişkide sürekli kaygının kısmi aracı rol üstlendiği, bilişsel esneklik ve psikolojik danışma öz-yeterliği arasındaki ilişkiyi sürekli kaygının dolaylı olarak etkilediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmaya dair bulgular, literatür ışığında tartışılmış olup; sonuçlar doğrultusunda gelecekteki araştırmalara ve uygulayıcılara yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Studies on counselor trainees are important for the counselor education and professional development processes of the counselor trainees. The aim of this study is to examine the mediating role of trait anxiety in the relationship between cognitive flexibility and counseling self-efficacy perceptions of 4th grade students studying in the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Undergraduate Program. The research group of the study consisted of a total of 290 counseling trainees from 6 different universities, 213 of whom were female (73.4%) and 77 of whom were male (26.6%), who were 4th year students of Guidance and Counseling. Multi-stage sampling method was used to determine the study group and stratified-cluster sampling method were used to determine the sample. Personal Information Form, "Cognitive Flexibility Inventory", "Discontinuous State-Trait Anxiety Inventory" and "Counselling Self-Efficacy Scale" were used as data collection tools. Pearson Product Moment Correlation Analysis and Structural Equation Model Analysis were used to examine the relationships between the variables in the study. As a result of the structural equation modelling analysis, it was concluded that all paths in the model were significant, trait anxiety partially mediated the relationship between cognitive flexibility and counselling self-efficacy, and trait anxiety indirectly affected the relationship between cognitive flexibility and counselling self-efficacy. The findings of the study were discussed in the light of the existing literature and suggestions for future research and practitioners were made in line with the results.
