Neolitik dönem`de çatışma olgusu

Abstract

War has existed among human societies in almost every phase of history. The war has shaped societies and societies has shaped the war in a cycle without a certain beginning and end. It is not surprising that this concept, which appears to be an extremely integral part of human life, has been a focus of interest for social sciences for decades. The function, causes and consequences of the phenomenon of war among human societies, and ultimately their origins form the brightest titles of this interest. Indeed, to what extent can we draw back the origins of war in human societies? The answer to this question is, of course, that we can draw up to prehistoric times. In our modern society, it is assumed that the first settled farmer societies experienced the golden age of humanity, an age of equality and peace. But this assumption has been questioned in the anthropology and archeology disciplines for the last 20 years and the place of war in prehistoric societies has been investigated. The aim of this thesis entitled `The Phenomenon of Conflict in Neolithic Societies`, is to assert the existence of conflicts or the lack of thereof in Neolithic societies in the context of archaeological data through Anatolian geography. In this respect, firstly, anthropological and archaeological theories related to the archeology of conflict have been evaluated, and then the find groups pointing to the conflict in terms of archeology have been examined through the key settlements identified within the scope of the study and it has been attempted to assert whether there is a conflict in Anatolian Neolithic societies.
